What is DISC? The Disability Information Service Center (DISC) is a service provided by the Ethiopian Center for Disability and Development (ECDD), a disability and development NGO based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The DISC provides information on disability and development issues in Ethiopia, on services and programs available to or involving persons with disabilities and their families, and on practical expertise on how to practice Inclusive Development. The DISC includes a collection in the ECDD office of print and Braille copies of many disability-related and other documents as well as CDs for ease of use by the general public as well as persons with disabilities, their families, students, researchers, government officials, parliamentarians, development and donor agencies. The DISC also includes a searchable electronic database of documents on disability subjects, as well as of organizations and services addressing disability and persons with disabilities in Ethiopia, Africa and internationally.

What information is included in DISC? DISC information includes organizations addressing disability and development issues in Ethiopia and internationally, services and products available to persons with disabilities and their families in Ethiopia, and documentation on both disability-related and general development subjects. Some information is available in print and Braille or on CDs in the ECDD office. Other information is available via the DISC searchable electronic database.
