The Federal Supreme Court is taking action towards
Disability Inclusive Legal Services
The Ethiopian Center for Disability and Development (ECDD) in its project entitled
“training for inclusive development” held a half day capacity building training for
administrative staff of the Federal Supreme court. The project aims to build up the
capacity of development organizations (GOs and NGOs) in order to enable them to
include disability in their respective organizations. The project is funded by
Abilis Foundation of Finland.

Family Planning/Reproductive Health conducted
The Ethiopian Center for Disability and Development and Nia foundation together
are participating in a three year project funded by the Packard foundation of USA
to promote and facilitate inclusive Family Planning and Reproductive Health (FP/RH)
education and service delivery by mainstream service providers to women and girls
with disabilities in Ethiopia.

Sensitization Seminar at Ministry of Works and Urban Development
ECDD held one of its timely inclusive development Sensitization Seminar with the staff of Ministry of Works and Urban Development on the 6th of July 2010. The seminar mainly targeted the urban planners and it happened as a result of the previous training workshop on disability awareness and the importance of inclusive development that was given out on 8-9, June 2010 for some governmental organizations.

ECDD Coducted Information Seminar on Accesssibility
Ethiopian Center for Disability and Development (ECDD) in collaboration with Light for the World
LFTW) based in Australia is undertaking a “Guide to accessible Addis Ababa project”
which is aimed at publishing of “Guide Book” to be used by Ethiopians aznd visitors
with disabilities and reinforcing Building owners awareness on how and why to make
premises and services accessible for people with disabilities.
